Responsibilities

Every week, customers across Texas drop off and pick up more than half a million prescriptions while shopping at H-E-B. We operate Pharmacies throughout Texas at our Store locations and employ hundreds of Pharmacists and Technicians to fill scripts, and administer flu shots, immunizations, and health screenings, and answer patient questions. H-E-B's Central Fill (CF) facility is a high-volume automated pharmacy facility designed to help Stores meet present and future dispensing needs. Our goal is to deliver outstanding service to each and every Store, which is accomplished by high efficiency prescription filling sharply focused on quality and accuracy.

As a CF Fill Pharmacy Technician, you'll use a variety of systems to assemble patient prescriptions, while working collaboratively to ensure your Team accurately meets daily Pharmacy production goals.

We are looking for:
- TSBP Registered Pharmacy Technician
- retail / pharmacy experience (preferred)

What is the work?
Central Fill Operations:
- Assembles medication orders using fully-automated, semi-automated, and manual assembly systems
- Prepares / dispenses scripts; reviews orders on computer; files as indicated
- Hand counts pills and measures liquids; replenishes pills for automated systems
- Labels scripts by scanning the product and applying printed label on the bottle / package; includes special directions, as needed
- Performs basic computer troubleshooting
- Cleans and maintains automated prescription processing equipment
- Performs well counts in Pharmacy systems
- Pulls / processes out of date product per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Processes dead stock returns in an accurate and timely manner
- Prepares digital drug imaging for Rx system; takes pictures of medication, uploads to system for Pharmacist verification
- Ensures privacy and confidentially of Personal Health Information (PHI) as required by HIPAA
- Assists with maintenance, organization, upkeep of facility
- May perform other duties, as needed

Receiving:
- Receives inventory; checks delivery for accuracy compared to invoices
- Inputs receiving information into system
- Stages inventory by breaking out inventory into sections for stocking
- Checks line by line receiving
- Stocks inventory
- Returns excess inventory to H-E-B Warehouse or to vendors, as needed
- Contacts H-E-B Warehouse or vendor if inventory is short

What is your background?
- Minimum age 18 (mandatory)
- High School diploma, or equivalent
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- 1+ years of retail experience (preferred)
- Pharmacy experience (preferred)
- Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician certification
